Nickel-metal hydride battery (NiMH or Ni-MH) is a type of rechargeable battery. Ni-MH batteries use hydrogen storage alloys as the negative electrode material, offering higher energy density in terms of both weight and volume. They feature improved high-rate capability and high tolerance to over-discharge.
NiMH batteries are used in over 95% of all HEVs, emerging EVs, and fuel cell EVs. They are preferred in industrial and consumer applications due to their design flexibility, environmental acceptability, low maintenance, high power and energy densities, and safety during charge and discharge modes.
